Required: a spare aide to set to aide production

(You can have a max of 5 of which only 2 can be with you at any time.)

Aide Production is accessed via Bank – Quarters Info.

Materials for aide production are drawn from 3 sources:

• your private farm
• your quarters (trade goods or consumables)
• product storage

Product Storage:

Production is always stored in product storage which has 15 slots with a max space 4999 each.

You can take products out either via bank for a fee or via quarters free (steward-quarters info). You cant put anything into product storage directly.

Recipes:

The recipes you can see depend on the current crafting skill ranks of your toon. You will see a change if you change job or equip  / unequip items or reassign aides if that affects your crafting skill ranks. (thx Aurora for observation).

The recipes your aide can use depend on his development and skills. Aides with a crafting skill as support skill get +5 to the recipe ranks they can use.

How often a recipe can be used per real day depends on the development of the aide and his skills. Aurora observed that aides with a crafting aide skill can use a recipe 10 times whereas if only with support skill only 5 times. Further observation is needed for more details.

Unique farm recipes:

Some materials or items can only be produced on a private farm and only if they have developed slots that could produce the necessary ingredients. For example suede can only be made on a farm that has the ability to produce resin ie. only on Ascension or St.Lucia with an orchard that could produce resin (and the necessary tech lvl = productivity for that).

Note that some farm recipes can appear in aide production that you could not normally use with the farm you have due to location or slot development. Aide production may give you a chance to produce for example fine velvet although your farm on Ascension would not show that recipe as you cant have a field producing silk there. All you need to do is put the required materials in quarters. In our example silk threads and embroidery threads into quarters – trade goods.

Thus aide production could be the way for you to make rare materials like fine / exquisite velvet, dye, fur or suede.
