Company Liner to Pohang now operating!

The team that did it in a massive effort within just a few days. Christo was part of the team and working just as hard – I guess he took the picture.

Schedule: Company liner is running from Marseille to Pohang every full even hour server time (2, 4, 6 etc.) taking 35 min to Pohang. Embarking possible 25 min before – but no trade goods allowed on board.

Pohang to Marseilles every full odd hour (1,3,5 etc)

Cost  is 10 points per toon and use. By experience occasional deliveries of Apple Vinegar will cover these.

Don’t forget that you can collect 10 Master Smithy Tools from nanban merchant in Pohang once every cycle!

If at end of cycle we ever fall below 25k the liner will not be operating and we have to wait until next cycle we pass 25k again!

Our company nanban with and company liner to Pohang

As most of us that do nanban trade are trading in Korea most of the time we set up our company nanban connection to Pohang and thus get a company liner to Pohang.

We will need to gather 25k points by end of cycle (15 december before noon) to get a company liner to Pohang working. Finishing earlier will not make it available earlier.

Still this requires a great team effort.

What to deliver for company nanban in Marseilles ?

We need to deliver specialty goods for this

Dont deliver Luxury goods or fabrics and fibres they are high in Pohang most times and likely will be counterproductive = cost us points.

From our tests back on GAMA we can say that the best we can deliver is:

• – apple vinegar (seasonings – 30 points per 100)
• – crossbows (weapons – 31 points per 100) or
• – sherry only if alcohol backstock in Pohang is low – check nanban merchant near admin officer before delivering (Alcohol – 26 points per 100 ).

Seasonings are low in Pohang most times and apple vinegar therefore ideal. However, you have to sail to Calais to get it. You can also buy dried apples there and convert them to apple vinegar with seasonings booklet recipe book. Alternatively you can craft dried apples from berries and apple vinegar from that. European armour (weapons – 40 points) also works but you need brass and it involves a lot of casting.

We may yet experiment with other specialties but the above mentioned specialty goods seem about the most practical to take. normal trade goods only yield a few points and are no good.

Company nanban rewards

From our experience with company nanban on GAMA we assume that we will be getting a different random good from Pohang on 1st visit to a company admin officer in Europe every new cycle (starting on 15th of months noon OGP time). The amount everybody is getting will depend on deliveries made during the previous cycle.

We also received 10 Master Smithy Tools once per cycle when speaking to nanban merchant in Pohang.

Our company liner to Pohang in operation

We need 25k points to have the company liner operate when a new cycle starts and this value is checked. If it ever falls below 25k when check is done at start of a new cycle we will not have the liner for that cycle.

Once the liner is in operation I expect we will get from Marseilles to Pohang within 35 minutes real time. By schedule it departs from Marseilles on the full hour every 2 hours. Embarking starts iirc at 25 min before.

Every use of the liner costs 10 points per member. So please continue to deliver to cover for your usage of the liner.
