My
Recipe Book
For 30 Patriot Awards (PAs) you can get a My Recipe Book from the secretary at the palace of your hometown. This book contains 3 slots for recipes which cost only 4 vigour to use instead of 5. The My Recipe Book does not take up inventory space.
You can expand the My Recipe Book up to a maximum of 10 recipe slots with the secretary in palace for an additional 10 PAs for each further slot. Thus with 40 PAs you get slot no. 4, further 50 PAs will buy you slot no. 5 and so forth until 100 PAs for slot no. 10 are paid.
To access it you click on use item on far right of screen. On top far right of the Use Item window you can see a button with a book symbol. Clicking on that opens your My Recipe Book.
Before you can use it you have to put recipes into it. Please note that the original normal recipe book will be destroyed in the process. You can take any number of recipes from one normal recipe book into My Recipe Book or put in recipes from a variety of normal recipe books. You are free to chose what mix of recipes you put into my recipe book. You can always delete recipes from My Recipe Book and put other recipes in for a fee with palace secratary. Cheapest in home town but also possible in other capitals.
Best is to use the My Recipe Book to either safe inventory slots by transfering recipes into it from normal recipe books that only hold 1 or 2 recipes interesting to you or to save vigour points used by transferring recipes into it that you use very often.
For example Sylvie has making leather braids and milling process in her My Recipe Book. These are needed to make intermediate products for higher sewing or cooking recipes but also only interesting recipes in their respective books. As she collects and procures a lot she also has producing lumber and making vegetable oil in her My Recipe Book. Here the motive is to reduce the consumption of vigour points while out collecting.
Please note that vigour consumption can be reduced from the normal 5 to 3 if you are using recipes in My Recipe Book (-1) and hold a Meister title (-1 only in towns). Meister title is available to you when you have reached rank 15 in a crafting skill – you have to set that title to get the vigour reduction.
